Come and Experience…Art unexpected and follow us on Facebook

Galerie Marie is an art gallery created by former Barnes Foundation president and CEO Kimberly Camp. Located in Collingswood New Jersey, ten minutes from downtown Philadelphia, the gallery will showcase paintings, sculpture, dolls, prints, drawings, photography, jewelry and other crafts by Camp and artists from around the nation. Camp named the gallery in honor of her mother, using the French spelling of the word "gallery" to add a special twist to Galerie Marie.

"From time to time we’ll have antiques, collectibles, textiles books and more. We will be adding guest lecturers on a variety of topics in visual art, art history and aesthetics; and master classes in painting, photography, textiles, doll-making and more for students of all ages."

portrait-eplGallery director Kimberly Camp began her career as a professional artist at the age of 12. Her paintings and dolls have been shown throughout the US in over 100 solo and group exhibitions, including:

–       American Craft Museum

–       Smithsonian Institution

–       International Sculpture Center

–       University of Michigan

–       Cal State Fullerton

–       Longwood Gardens

In addition to the Barnes Foundation, Camp led the Charles Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit, and was founding director of the Smithsonian Institution''s Experimental Gallery. She hopes to soon announce the release date for her memoire, Defending the Dead: The Totally True Story of the Barnes Foundation Transformation sometime in the fall of 2013.

“Something magical happens when artists and collectors find that perfect match. I want patrons to stop by to see what’s new, experience the magical and find the unique.”
